Children’s Ministry

Nursery – Pre-K

There is no curriculum for Nursery/Ones room, but we interject biblical items when possible.  (i.e. Jesus’ teachings, stories, how to act and treat others – manners.)  Pre-K is doing the David C Cook curriculum.  Their time includes about 15-20 minutes of playtime and then a lesson with arts, crafts or drawing.  They even have planted things – of course, that was fun…it was dirt.

All the children seem to be doing well and progressing.  It’s hard to see them grow up, but that’s what kids do.

Nursery through Pre-k is to help bring up healthy, happy, Godly people.  As far as signing up or volunteering, there is always room for more.  We have a great time.  There are such wonderful children out there and they should all have the benefit of knowing God.

Sunday School Ministry

We provide Sunday School classes for children Kindergarten through 5th grade during the Sunday morning service.  Children sing worship songs with their families and are dismissed to their classrooms.

Vision Statement:  “to seek and save the lost.”  We strive to establish an environment and opportunities to introduce children to the gospel and teach toward building a firm foundation in Christ.  We hope to reinforce and come alongside parents to encourage their children to seek God with all of their heart, soul, mind and strength.

Mission:  To provide a safe, fun and God honoring atmosphere where children can learn more about Jesus Christ.

Parents:  All parents are welcomed in any of our classrooms during Sunday School time.  For security reasons, parents are to come to their children’s classrooms and sign them out.  This is also an opportunity for the parents to know who is teaching their children and for the teacher to communicate any concerns or praises.
Volunteers:  We welcome additional teachers and helpers year around.  We rotate teachers monthly so that our teachers are able to attend church services on a regular basis.
